Roshka – Juta – Kazbek BC and 1 day in Kakheti with 7SensesTravel – 8 days


Kazbegi is one of the most visited parts of Georgia, for at least several good reasons – Mount Kazbek (5047 m), Cminda Sameba monastery (2200 m) and luxurious designed Rooms Hotel. During our trek you will get a chance to see more than that – explore Juta region, beautiful Abudelauri Lakes and enjoy a visit in wine & food region Kakheti.

This trek consist of two differentiated parts: Kazbek BC and Chaukhi Pass. One more demanding with glacier crossing and overnight at altitude above 3600 m, while the other includes only one short steep ascent.

Dates: 16.07.2016 – 23.07.2016, 19.08.2016 – 27.08.2016, other dates on request.


Day 1. fly to Georgia, pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel, rest in a hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 2. late breakfast in a hotel, visit at the local food market, drive to Kakheti, visiting Ujarma city-fortress, Ikalto monastery and Ikalto Wine Academy, lunch snack at Matsoni House – cult place for all natural food lovers, drive to Napareuli, wine degustation and traditional Georgian dinner at Twins Cellar – wine company & hotel, overnight at Twins Cellar

Day 3. breakfast in a hotel, drive to Roshka village, lunch packets for the trek, trekking through Abudelauri Lakes and Chaukhi Pass to Juta, dinner and overnight at Zeta Camp.

Day 4. breakfast, drive towards Kazbegi, trip to Gveleti waterfall and Cminda Sameba (The Holy Trinity) monastery at 2170 m, dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Kazbegi.

Day 5. breakfast in a guesthouse, lunch packets for the first day of the trek to Kazbek BC, crossing glacier on the way up, dinner prepared jointly by participants and a guide, overnight at Bethlemi Hut (Kazbek BC) at 3653 m.

Day 6. dinner prepared jointly by participants and a guide, short ascent to small church located at ca. 3800 m, descent to Kazbegi, traditional Georgian supra with a local family with celebration of wine and toasts and Georgian folk music, overnight in a guesthouse in Kazbegi.

Day 7. breakfast in a guesthouse, drive towards Tbilisi via Georgian Military Highway, visit at Sarajishvili cognac factory with degustation, Tbilisi city walking tour – dzveli Tbilisi, Narikala Fortress, Sioni Cathedral, dinner at restaurant, overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi.

Day 8. airport transfer, fly back to the country of origin.

Price: 850 $ (excluding flight tickets – happy to assist you in locating the cheapest flights!)

Price includes: all overnights in line with itinerary – 3* hotels, guesthouses and mountain shelter Bethlemi, all transfers with comfort minivans or 4×4 vehicles in line with itinerary, English/ German/ Russian speaking tour leader depending on group set up, travel and trekking insurance, all meals covered in the itinerary, as well as food ingredients for the trekking (please note that participants need to prepare the meals while in the mountains together with a guide), expedition equipment (sleeping bags, sleeping mats, crampons) – if needed on request at no additional charge.

Price does not include: airfares, meals not listed in the itinerary, all other expenses not covered in the itinerary.

The minimum number of participants for all this trip amounts to 5 people.

Depending on air tickets’ availability we will coordinate participants and airport transfers accordingly.
